Developing female wrestlers can overwhelm themselves with questions about where to begin when they are ready to take their grappling to the next level.
Our suggestion?
Keep it simple. Fitness will always be the beginning and most important, part of that answer.
They are myriads of wrestling authorities who will tell you about your core menu that will help you build strength, learn important techniques and develop endurance and with all of those, depending upon your personality, you can determine where you would like to start.
One aspect of your exercise regime that should be a part of any package that you choose, you should include a serious stomach or ab workout.
Whether it is the freestyle women’s wrestling world, competitive female submission grappling industry or MMA competitions, rarely do we see an evolving serious competitor with a flabby stomach.
The intriguing aspect to focusing on your stomach muscles in wrestling is that it is not designed for aggression as so many other wrestling exercises, pathways and disciplines are designed to do.

When we saw that video of her on the beach, we wondered about her safety but that encounter with that at risk fish speaks to her diet philosophy as well.

She concludes, “I love coming up with healthy and creative recipes, as well as growing my own vegetables and catching my own fish. I currently live in the beautiful state of Florida and spend as much time as I can being outdoors gardening, fishing or kayaking.”
She grows her own vegetables and catches her own fish. Amazing.
We have actually done both, grown our own vegetables, especially tomatoes and large cucumbers and in our youth, we fished the lakes and rivers of Northern California.
Our point?
There is nothing as delicious as fresh fish and vegetables.
