She’s a beautiful girl with fiery red hair from the Czech Republic.
What more do you need to say?
Not much. But there is still one big question.
How skilled is Silvie as a wrestler?
Today, she will be going up against a veteran of the female mat wars in Hungary’s Dolly, who is a body builder. We have an extensive history on Dolly. We would grade her as a mid-level female submission wrestler.
On the rise.
We’re now going to find out what grade we will initially assign to Silvie.
SILVIE VS DOLLY

The two European athletes begin with hand fighting and upper arm struggle. According to their bios, their weight separation is only five pounds but Dolly clearly has the advantage in muscular strength and experience.
Dolly eventually secures a headlock, tightens the grip and takes Silvie down to the mats. Most important, as we’ve always taught, if you are going to take someone down with a headlock, always have your body resting on top of their head, adding more pressure and leverage.
Dolly does that and scores a quick submission (1:14).
1-0 for Dolly.
In the next round, Silvie prepares for aggression and Dolly delivers it. She quickly traps Silvie in a floor to sitting body scissors, pulls Silvie’s upper torso towards her and secures the red head in a frontal headlock using her right arm. With her left arm, she locks the grip and cranks tightly forcing Silvie to immediately tap out. (1:50).
2-0 for Dolly.
It is becoming very apparent, early on, that Silvie does not match up well against Dolly and this will be a one sided match.
We will be patient and review the whole match because we are hearing impressive things about Silvie and, if she chooses to pursue it, has a bright future in fully competitive submission wrestling.
This could be a learning day for her.
As they engage, once again, they start with hand fighting. In the struggle, Silvie manages to force Dolly to the bottom of the mat and is applying pressure before she accidentally gets kicked in the nose and the action temporarily stops.
Once they rev up again, Silvie is the aggressor but, in coming forward, finds herself trapped in a frontal body scissors by Dolly. This soon translates into a floor to standing body scissors which Silvie is desperately trying to break out of. The going is tough.
That’s when the tough should get going.
She finally breaks the hold.
With Dolly lying flat on her back, Silvie falls upon but gets her head trapped in a headlock.
She stands a chance of breaking the hold because, though in a headlock, she is in the top position.
The veins are popping out in Dolly’s forehead as Silvie maintains the top position while simultaneously applying a choke and headlock of her own.
They slide around as Dolly continues to struggle underneath.
Dolly breaks the hold and tries a one armed wrap around headlock from the bottom.
More struggle.
Silvie breaks that hold and continues to pressure Dolly’s neck as the brunette defends from the bottom. Credit to Silvie at this point. She is staying in the fight.
Silvie is now sitting on top of Dolly.
The emerging Czech star is rotating between applying a forearm choke and excruciating wrist locks, bending them with great pressure.
Dolly is in pain but determined not to submit.
Silvie is determined to keep applying the pressure from the top position and surprises Dolly by moving forward with an attempted smother. Dolly is breathing heavily and in trouble.
Still, she does not submit.
Silvie is relentless.
Her bio says that she is trained in MMA and now that skillset is beginning to show as she once again applies a forearm choke and continues to lock up Dolly’s arms and wrists. In this war of attrition with Dolly fighting from the bottom, it proves to be too much and Dolly finally submits.
Bravo.
We weren’t sure that Silvie had this in her, but she clearly does. She just didn’t submit Dolly, solely because of strength, she out strategized her as well.
The game is now afoot.
Dolly leads 2-1 (9:25).
Round four begins with upper body struggle. Silvie is much stronger than we thought and is gaining in confidence. As the two girls grab and pull, Silvie uses a technique where she keeps reaching behind Dolly’s head and pulling it downward. She keeps trying as Dolly keeps bouncing back up.
Finally it works and she not only pushes Dolly’s head down, but her body as well.
Silvie quickly mounts Dolly who is now in the turtle position.
As she rides Dolly, in a stationary position, there is much hidden hand fighting and grasping going on underneath. Silvie is trying to secure holds but Dolly keeps grabbing her wrists to prevent it.
Silvie tries for a choke but Dolly blocks that too. Still, Silvie is now winning the war of attrition. The longer she stays on top of Dolly’s back, the greater the chance she is going to tire Dolly out.
She succeeds.
Dolly taps out.
2-2 tie (11:09).
Well, we didn’t expect this.
In the beginning, it looked like it was going to turn into a workout session for Dolly, pulling out all holds and stops in her playbook to dominate Silvie, who at that point appeared to have little offensive weapons.
This is why you stay with the entire match.
They begin again.
More hand and arm struggles, muscles rippling in intensity.
Once again Silvie paws at Dolly from behind her head. Tap, tap. Push down. If it worked before, it should work again. This time Dolly is ready for it and changes things up with a surprise floor to kneeling body scissors on Silvie, married with a Guillotine Choke.
Silvie is caught off guard.
Dolly keeps tightening up the choke until Silvie has enough and taps out.
3-2 for Dolly, a reward for changing things up with a surprise lunging body scissors (12:04).
The next round could tell us, who is figuring who, out.
They begin with hand fighting. It is an equal standoff until Silvie pushes Dolly down to the mats and sits on top of her as she tries to enforce a hold. Dolly counters by clamping down hard on Silvie with a headlock.
From the bottom.
As we said before, not a position of strength.
The war of attrition begins again. Who will force the issue? Who will submit who?
Dolly taps out.
3-3 (12:50).
Both girls face one another with intensity.
The hand fighting begins. Silvie pushes Dolly backwards and is instantly on top of her. Dolly tries the “from the bottom” headlock but that is pedestrian in power, at best. Dolly is supposed to be the muscle girl but she is getting pushed around.
Silvie, as usual, goes for the throat with both of her forearms. As Dolly tries to escape, she slides right into a Guillotine Choke. Silvie tightens the hold.
Dolly painfully taps out.
4-3 for Silvie (13:41).
Very intriguing.
They stare one another down. Dolly looks far less confident than when this match first began.
Hand fighting. Then Silvie pushes Dolly back and down to the mats. On her back, Dolly is trying to keep Silvie at bay with her feet. Silvie pounces upon her but makes the mistake of getting her head in the wrong place.
Dolly traps her in a headlock choke, from the bottom, but this time rolls Silvie over so that she is on top and squeezes. The stealth red head taps out.
4-4 (14:07).
Time to fight. Again.
Silvie is determined and begins to push Dolly’s head downward and then pushes her backward. She quickly leaps upon Dolly and plants one knee into her stomach. Dolly is using her strong arms to fend her off.
On top, Silvie is trying to force her forearms onto Dolly’s throat. Dolly clasps her hands and arms together to build a wall and block her. Can the wall hold?
Brick by brick, Silvie is trying to tear it down.
Previously, in this position, it’s just a matter of time for Silvie to conquer. Sitting on top, she continues to try and break through or around Dolly’s locked wall.
She runs out of time.
This brilliant match ends in a tie.
The war of attrition is over.
Silvie is the surprise warrior here. After being down 0-2, we saw a potential blowout.
Silvie easily defeated another mid-level fighter, we thought she wouldn’t.
From the Czech Republic, there is also another young star on the rise.
