London Submission Room Event Match, Nika Vs Lottie, Scissor When Possible

Every industry needs their stars.

They have such a major impact, on well, everything.

This certainly came to light when the NFL New York Jets football team lost their star quarterback Aaron Rogers, on opening night, to a season-ending Achilles tear, confirmed by an MRI.

There was so much hype about the Green Bay Packer’s legend coming to New York, the Jets were featured on the special NFL pre-season series, Hard Knocks.

Once Rogers went down, it was like all of the air and excitement drained right out of the stadium. Some had predicted the Jets might go to the Super Bowl.

Probably not this year.

In our fully competitive female submission wrestling industry, we need our stars too.

We are really glad that some of the legends like Hungary’s Viktoria, Kimbra and Zsuzsa are still wrestling. All Danube Women’s Wrestling alums.

There has also been a recent sighting of another alum, Eva N. who is making a comeback of sorts and wrestled Dolly, Kim Biceps and Andy.

At Pippa’s Submission Room, a newer wrestler that is captivating and checks all of the right boxes on the way to stardom is Nika.

She is statuesque, athletic, MMA trained and completely beautiful.

Today she is going to face a talented girl in Lottie LaLay, who wrestled very well against industry veteran, Lexi Max.

Let’s see how she does against Nika, who previously wrestled Lexi as well, with stellar results.

NIKA VS LOTTIE

Introductions are made and one of the things that strikes us about Nika is, compared to her opponents, she is quite tall and athletic. She has a body of perfection. We would not describe her as muscular but her legs and thighs are very strong.

Lottie is on her knees waiting for her. After Nika performs a curtsy to the audience, she goes down to the mat floor and is ready to wrestle.

The tone of the match is set fairly early. Both wrestlers engage slowly. No one leaping aggressively at the neck area or doing a lot of hand slapping. Lottie slowly tries to encase Nika around the neck and the taller girl responds by pulling Lottie towards her and rolling her into a side body scissor. Nika doesn’t have the head secured tightly for a combination hold and Lottie wiggles her way free.

Nika is immediately on top of her and rolls her into the often ill-fated floor to sitting body scissor, loses the hold and Lottie is now on top.

Then the side.

They struggle as Lottie scissors Nika’s left leg to prevent a full mount and tries to apply a Guillotine Choke. Strong Nika manages to find her way back to the top as Lottie wisely keeps Nika’s left thigh clamped in a scissor.

Nika keeps maneuvering towards a unique hold. As Lottie is in the sitting position, on her knees, facing away from Nika, the athletic girl applies a reverse scissor while she is facing the floor, pushup style, and squeezes mightily. Trapped and under pressure, Lottie taps out.

Brilliant move by Nika.

1-0 for Nika (2:30).

Time to engage.

They begin with slow hand fighting and Nika is slightly pushed back and appears to be falling backwards to apply a floor to sitting body scissor. She eventually maneuvers Lottie into giving up her back, pulls the long haired girl backwards into a rear naked choke. Ideal position where your opponent should not be able to escape. Can Nika close the deal?

Not yet.

She made the mistake of applying only one hold and Lottie would not yield.

Nika repositions Lottie from behind the back and this time wisely applies the choke again coupled with a behind the back body scissor. She tightens the grip, Checkmate. Lottie taps out.

2-0 for Nika (3:47).

The question we now have is, will this turn into a rout.

Through a lot of giggling and talking during the match, we saw Lottie perform very well against a solid wrestler in Lexi Max. So, she has some skills, that’s for sure. Having said that, if she wants to stay in this match, now is the time to apply them.

They engage.

Lottie captures Nika in a behind the back headlock with two arms for double pressure. Very good. Nika is struggling to escape it. Lottie now maneuvers her way on top and keeps that tough headlock, from the top position. For the beautiful young girl?

All arrows are pointing up.

Nika is very strong.

We forgot about that.

She rolls Lottie over and now is on top. Lottie quickly scissors the stronger girl’s right leg to prevent a full mount. They are struggling as Nika maintains a tenuous hold on the top position. Lottie gives up her back. Once again Nika applies a choke but because Lottie has a scissor on her left leg, she cannot apply a combination hold. They struggle for some time in similar positions. Even Lottie asks Nika out loud, where is she taking this?

In the competitive sports world, the real question is, where are you (Lottie) taking this? The focus is you.

In a very good move, Lottie is focused, picks the lock and breaks Nika’s hold from the top.

The audience applauds.

Her next move is effective as well. She captures Nika in a headlock as the gorgeous girl is bent over. Lottie almost rolls Nika into a combination hold with her legs but misses the scissor.

Nika is free and back on top of Lottie.

They are struggling with one another in a fight for wrist control as Lottie has given up her back but wisely scissors Nika’s left leg to prevent a behind the back scissor. She is still in the fight but she really needs to prevent a submission here, which means, approaching the halfway point, if she is down 0-3, the match is essentially over. Down 0-2, Lottie still has a shot but she needs to reverse Nika’s course here.

Even though she is being prevented from applying a scissor, Nika focuses in on what she can do, which is to keep tightening that neck and head lock after winning wrist control. Lottie is struggling mightily but those head locks can be brutal. She finally taps out.

3-0 for Nika (8:47).

Time to engage.

Lottie makes two swipes at a headlock and misses but Nika is playing this round very passively and gives up her back. Lottie is now trying to apply an effective hold, from a position of strength. She is getting closer. She applies a scissor and a choke. Can she seal the deal?

Nika picks the lock and breaks open the choke.

Lottie is determined. She reapplies the choke but firmer. She supplements it with a seasoned side body scissor. Nika finally taps out.

3-1 for Nika (10:10).

Once they begin, Nika falls backwards trying to do a floor to sitting body scissor. Often a bad idea to initiate beginning competition with that one. You miss, your opponent is quickly on top of you as Lottie is here.

Lottie makes the mistake of giving up her back, and while her head is looking at Nika’s feet, the taller girl with long legs traps Lottie in a reverse body scissor, from the mat floor.

It is rarely a good idea to fight from the mat floor.

They roll to the side.

Lottie now captures Nika in a frontal scissor and by the look of pain on Nika’s face, it is a good one. Lottie continues to squeeze. They roll a little and now Lottie not only applies the scissor but grabs Nika’s left leg as well to lessen Nika’s escape option. Nika begins to pick the lock at the ankles.

She escapes the hold.

Lottie starts squirming around, seemingly with no real plan and that often gets you in trouble. She falls right into Nika’s scissors at Lottie’s torso area. Nika squeezes hard and Lottie taps out. She had a chance to get back into this one, but seemed to lose focus when she was in a position of strength, with her scissor, while capturing Nika’s leg.

That was then.

This is now.

Nika leads 4-1 (12:05).

They engage slowly as Lottie giggles.

They struggle a bit and Lottie soon captures Nika in a behind the back scissor. This time she smartly adds a two arm headlock to keep Nika busy. She can only pick one lock at a time. Nika choses to try and separate the headlock borderline smother. With mixed results. Lottie tightens her scissor and cements her head lock, choke. Nika relents and taps out.

4-2 for Nika (13:42).

When they start, this time Nika stays at the top to fight it out. She thinks about a floor to sitting body scissor but it doesn’t work.

A blessing in disguise.

What does work is a behind the back hard scissor and choke combination. Bent over, Lottie immediately taps out.

5-2 for Nika (14:24).

As they begin, they capture one another from the side, with tentative holds, until Lottie once more gives up her back and Nika quickly seizes the opportunity with a side body scissor. Lottie is captured around the waist, on her back, slightly kicking her legs up in the air. Nika elongates her body to place more torque on that scissor as Lottie loudly groans.

Will Nika squeeze out another submission?

Nope.

Time runs out.

Nika wins 5-2.

This was a match Nika was supposed to win and did. If only our industry could give her lots more work. We’re certainly happy to give her more publicity.
