Relaxing in an elegant quiet room while gazing out of a spacious window from the 39th floor that allows you to have an exceptional view of the majestic ever changing San Francisco skyline in a warm memory to hold on to in good times and other ones.
One of the hotels we used to view admiringly but never had a chance to visit is the Parc 55 Hotel with its warm tan brown exterior and tinted windows that were the source of great wonder.
Well, with recent news, it’s time to give this regal hotel another look.
A March 2015 press release at parc55hotel.com shares, “Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. ("Hilton Worldwide") today announced it closed its previously announced sale of the Waldorf Astoria New York to Anbang Insurance Group Co. Ltd. ("Anbang") for $1.95 billion. In addition, Hilton Worldwide has signed agreements to redeploy the proceeds of the sale to add five landmark properties in strategic resort and urban locations to its owned portfolio.
The Parc 55, which represents over one third of the purchased portfolio by number of rooms, will be a new addition to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand that will be managed by Hilton Worldwide. The other acquired hotels are currently managed by Hilton Worldwide.”
That is big news.
Hmm, make that wonderful news.
We loved it from the outside but apparently given their success, many love them from the inside.
Here are two reviews with a smile.
At the stellar review site yelp.com one happy traveler smiles, “I passed by to this hotel million times and never have a chance to go and see until the past Monday. My bf and I stayed there for my birthday. It was a beautiful historic hotel from the outside view but once I stepped inside the hotel, I was "wow"....it was so classy and elegance with high ceiling. Definitely one of the nicest entrances I've seen in a San Franciscan hotel.”
And here is another.
“The service was fast, friendly and helpful. Every staffs seemed well trained and understand how to treat a customer. The check in process was quick and easy. The hotel is really quite beautiful and the lobby is especially breathtaking. We were offered help with taking our bags up to our tower room but we declined. We were very satisfied with our room. We had a beautiful view of the city. The room was quiet, comfortable, and elegant.”
Okay, good to know. Now we get a warm fuzzy feeling of what it is like from the inside.
The more we see, the more we want to see.
