Las Vegas Raiders, Upscale Park Towers, Life In Paradise

February 25, 2020,

You have your reasons for traveling to Las Vegas. We’re sure the list is endless. Ours certainly is. There is another major incentive to travel to or live in Las Vegas in 2020.

The Oakland Raiders will play there.

Excuse us.

The Las Vegas Raiders, artists formerly known as the Oakland Raiders will star there.

They will not be wearing purple.

Hopefully they will shine though. In silver and black.

The Las Vegas Raiders are now a professional American football team based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

Founded on January 30, 1960, they played their first regular season game on September 11, 1960, as a charter member of the American Football League (AFL) which merged with the NFL in 1970.

The Raiders will play their home games at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada in 2020.

This isn’t their first move.

Originally based in Oakland, California, the team departed Oakland to play in Los Angeles from the 1982 season through the 1994 season before returning to Oakland at the start of the 1995 season.

On March 27, 2017, NFL team owners voted nearly unanimously to approve the Raiders' application to relocate to Las Vegas. Nearly three years later, on January 22, 2020, the Raiders officially moved to Las Vegas.

Or should we say Paradise?

Paradise is an unincorporated town and census-designated place (CDP) in Clark County, Nevada, United States, adjacent to the city of Las Vegas.

In law, an unincorporated area is a region of land that is not governed by a local municipal corporation; similarly an unincorporated community is a settlement that is not governed by its own local municipal corporation, but rather is administered as part of larger administrative divisions, such as a township, parish, borough, county, city, canton, state, province or country.

Widespread unincorporated communities and areas are a distinguishing feature of the United States and Canada. In most other countries of the world, there are either no unincorporated areas at all, or these are very rare; typically remote, outlying, sparsely populated or uninhabited areas.

The population of Paradise, Nevada was 231,858 as of 2017, making it the most populous CDP in the United States.

As an unincorporated town, it is governed by the Clark County Commission with input from the Paradise Town Advisory Board. Paradise was formed on December 8, 1950.

Paradise contains McCarran International Airport; the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV); and most of the Las Vegas Strip. Paradise contains most tourist attractions in the Las Vegas area, excluding downtown.

Despite this, the name Paradise remains relatively unknown because all of the ZIP Codes serving Paradise are assigned the default place name "Las Vegas".

Paradise is home to Las Vegas's three major league sports teams, the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL), which began play in the 2017–18 season at T-Mobile Arena, now, the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL) which begin play in Las Vegas in the 2020 NFL season at Allegiant Stadium along with the UNLV Rebels football program, and the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA which started playing at Mandalay Bay Events Center in 2018.

Also, since 2004, the Las Vegas Summer League, organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA), is played in the Thomas & Mack Center and in the Cox Pavilion.

As you can see, there is a lot happening in Paradise.

Wish you were there?

You can be.

If you’re going to live in Paradise, what is one of the more heavenly places to reside?

On January 31, 2020, as reported by reviewjournal.com, “Las Vegas set a record in 2019 for the two most expensive high-rise resales in its history as the high-end luxury market of $1 million and more carried the day over lower-priced units in the valley.

Park Towers east of the Strip on Flamingo Road, west of Paradise Road, had six sales, up one in 2019. Park Towers had the highest average price at $2.08 million, a gain of 19 percent over 2018. The price per square foot at $596 was up 16 percent.”

Nice to know. Since we are in Paradise, let’s visit the Park Towers.

Park Towers is a 20-story twin-tower condominium property located east of the Las Vegas Strip, in Paradise, Nevada. The project was announced in 1998, and began construction the following year. The property was developed by Irwin Molasky and Steve Wynn, and was completed in 2001.

Park Towers, along with Turnberry Place, inspired a condominium boom in Las Vegas that began in 2003.

As of 2011, Irwin Molasky lived in a penthouse suite at Park Towers. In March 2013, Schorr, now the retiring chief operating officer for Wynn Resorts, listed his 9,000 square foot, two-story penthouse for sale at a price of $9.8 million.

Super impressive.

It is time for a closer look.

The impeccably attired team at parktowers.com educate, “Precise attention to the smallest detail is standard fare at Park Towers, and is evident throughout. The elegant porte cochère entrance is appropriately in tune with the Old-World architecture of the buildings. There, the uniformed valet warmly welcomes you, assists with luggage or any other needs, and parks your vehicle.

In addition, staff can arrange for vehicle cleaning, fresh flowers, maid service, or delivery from your favorite restaurants. The Concierge can secure dinner reservations, or theater and concert tickets, and will also be pleased to assist in delivering parcels and dry-cleaning to your residence.

Your personal comfort and security is of utmost importance at Park Towers with state-of-the-art monitoring, 24-hour access control, and video identification. Access to the common areas and elevators is restricted to those residents holding programmed access cards.”

We feel safe already. And pampered too. We could certainly get used to this lifestyle.

The group at luxuryhomeslasvegas.com summarize the Park Towers Condo experience exceptionally well, as with this diamond property that is on the market, “The epitome of sophisticated opulence, this elegant 2-story penthouse is poised 19 floors above the city. The crown jewel of Park Towers, enjoy unrivaled Strip views &striking details crafted w/a majestic eye for design. Feel like you are floating in the sky w/grand windows revealing vistas of sunset skies &city lights. An immaculate design highlights a lavish array of materials including suede upholstered cabinetry, Baltic stone & Italian porcelain.”

With all of the amenities of Las Vegas at your fingertips and now a legendary professional football team within a limo’s reach, Park Towers has redefined the meaning of living in Paradise.

The NFL 2020 season should be very special.
