Peet’s Coffee Shakes Up the Summer Season With Colorful Flavors

July 3, 2020,

Oh for the days when you could work out, sculpt the perfect body, be adorned in stylish garb and show yourself off in public.

Without a darn mask.

Certainly took that for granted. Can we wish upon a star and get those days back?

Maybe.

Especially if you live in Canada. Congrats on your current mastery over the coronavirus.

We could certainly use a cup of coffee and people watch. Even if they are wearing masks. Focus on the coffee.

In terms of sales, what is happening to our beloved coffee during the pandemic?

Let’s travel around the world and start from the green ground up.

The informative news and information source reuters.com reveals, “Pandemic restrictions have threatened harvesting in other coffee-growing nations, but Costa Rica’s dependence on foreign labor has made it particularly vulnerable. Local farmers warn that if a coronavirus-induced foreign labor shortage is not resolved soon, the raw material used to make countless lattes and espressos could spoil on the bush.”

We sure hope not.

A little surprised to hear this one.

At barrons.com they share, “The coronavirus pandemic has reshuffled the restaurant landscape, and in this new world, burritos and pizza are king.”

Sheltering in and all, it does make sense. Especially the pizza part.

One of the fine coffee establishments we loved to lounge at gazing and grazing is Starbucks. How are they doing during these turbulent times?

The team at the global news source cnbc.com informs, “Starbucks expects to swing to a loss in its fiscal third quarter, predicting it lost as much as $3.2 billion in revenue due to the coronavirus pandemic.”

Okay. Not exactly what we expected but hopefully it is temporary.

We love Starbucks.

There is good news on the coffee horizon. Tasty and sweet. Unique and innovative too.
