Daly City’s Serramonte Mall, Upscale Active Wear, Perfection

There are some places in the world where just driving a few blocks away from home provides you with a change of scenery and a feeling that you are on vacation.

Especially on a 3 day holiday weekend. What a joy.

Usually one of the major additional beautiful ornaments is that they must be a setting that attracts women sauntering about in sexy active wear.

In our experience, the San Francisco South Peninsula in general and Daly City’s Serramonte Mall in particular, are incredibly wonderful.

Nearby are the mountains, the Pacific Ocean and right up the freeway, downtown San Francisco.

It is a dream location. There is so much to do there.

Ladies, please saunter over with us in your active wear for a sit down, meet and greet.

The Serramonte Mall is a 1,139,906 square foot super-regional shopping mall.

This glorious mall is currently anchored by Macy's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Target.

Some in our circle are old enough to remember it when it was brand spanking new.

Now for a little bit of history.

The Serramonte Center was built in 1969 along with the Serramonte Neighborhood Development of Fred and Carl Gellert.

The center has been renovated in 1995, 2004 and currently as of 2021.

Montgomery Ward was an original anchor. Our friend used to purchase his tickets there to go to concerts at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos.

After Ward’s closure in 2001, Target replaced it.

In 2002, the mall was sold to Capital and Counties USA. A renovation completed in 2004 has given the main building a Zen feel. Very vacation like. Very get away from it all like. It included a koi pond, bamboo landscapes, and plush furniture.

Other renovations include the remodeling of the food court seating area and the addition of more food court options.

We still love the food court.

A group of us love to go there and dine because they have so many small mom and pop dining stores to choose from.

Are you in the mood for spaghetti, pizza, Mediterranean and Asian Cuisine or good old fashion hamburgers?

It is up to you.

You can sit wherever you like with nice social distancing. We love it. The food is great.

From 2014 to 2018, the mall underwent a huge expansion, adding Dick's Sporting Goods, Dave and Busters, Cost Plus World Market, Buy Buy Baby, Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx, Party City, Nordstrom Rack, a new five floor parking garage, and some more smaller businesses.

There are plenty of places to purchases active wear. Some high end.

One of the newer active wear players in the market is a female team that is very environmentally friendly named Gentrue.
