Ashley Benson really brought “Pretty Little Liars” to life.
Pretty Little Liars is an American teen drama mystery thriller television series developed by I. Marlene King and is loosely based on the novel series of the same name written by Sara Shepard.
The series follows the lives of four high school girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader. One year later, the estranged friends are reunited as they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure named "A" who threatens to expose their deepest secrets.
The series features an ensemble cast, headed by Troian Bellisario as Spencer Hastings, Lucy Hale as Aria Montgomery, Ashley Benson as Hanna Marin, Shay Mitchell as Emily Fields and Sasha Pieterse as Alison DiLaurentis.
The series premiered on June 8, 2010 on ABC Family and ended on June 27, 2017.
That was quite a run. Bravo. Teen bravo.
You know what we loved about this series? It was intriguing, mysterious and understandable.
Ashley’s other major project “Springs Breakers” was completely confusing, full of shuck and jive, not believable for one minute and completely stretched every known value system but you know what?
We couldn’t stop watching it.
Could someone please rewind it and play it backwards so we might understand it?

Listen to this completely insane story line. “College students Brit, Candy, and Cotty often spend their time partying while their friend Faith attends a religious youth group. As their classmates head to spring break, they are stuck behind due to a lack of money. Desperate to make the trip, Brit and Candy, after getting high on cocaine, don ski masks and rob a local restaurant using hammers and realistic-looking squirt guns. They are assisted by Cotty, who drives (and later burns) the getaway car stolen from one of their professors. Cotty, Candy, and Brit divulge the details of their crime to a horrified Faith, who keeps quiet about it.”
Can you relate? Faith was very faithful.
That is what you did as a teen, right? When you were short on cash, you took a hammer and a squirt gun and robbed your local restaurant. True?
At the end of the film, there was no “This is based upon real events” disclaimer.
We think, as the credits rolled, there was one line in a foreign language that stated, “This film is based upon a night of binge drinking”.
This movie gets even crazier. You have to watch it to believe it. Or not believe it.
The music was great though. Seriously.
So was Ashley Benson. Very seriously.
Ashley Benson is not only an incredibly talented American actress; she is also a model and singer as well.

See, back in the day, our grannies, and maybe yours too, were from another era and they kept all of their clothes on (except when it was time to make our mothers and fathers), so it is possible they were Tramp Stamp Grannies also.
We just never saw it (mercifully).
