Sultry, Sexy Singer Taylor Castro, Always Worth It

December 18, 2021,

Why are you avoiding me, you ask?

Are you talking to us?

Sweetheart? That’s all in your head. We are not avoiding you. In fact, we would love to get to know you better.

What’s your name?

Taylor Castro?

Wonderful name. Sounds like a fabulous brand name for a singer.

What say you? You have a song titled Avoiding Me?

Is that what this is all about?

Well you’re certainly not speaking to us. Whoever you are talking about, he or she doesn’t know what they are missing.

We love Taylor Castro’s pulsating hit. We have listened to it over and over and sense you will too. If you Google her and go to YouTube, she has plenty of gentle songs in her collection but we really like this sultry, up tempo rendition of Avoiding Me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyIRbOXqRs0

She has absolutely grabbed our attention. We are dancing from side to side.

Time for a visit. Otherwise she might think we are avoiding her.

At taylorcastro.com they sing her praises and rightfully so. They educate, “For as much as Taylor Castro flourishes on the microphone and on screen, she makes the deepest connection through her writing. The Florida-born and Atlanta-based singer, songwriter, screenwriter, actress, and creative amplifies novel-worthy stories with a skyscraping voice that belies her petite stature.

Growing up in Florida, she always thought up songs. As early as five-years-old, she would string together words and phrases for fun, fashioning herself into a writer during the most formative stage of her life. In between, she honed her performance chops through local musical theater productions and picked up guitar and keyboard. By middle school, she started to record on Garage Band and post her original music online inspired by everyone from Taylor Swift and The Lumineers to The Fray and The Script.”

You know what? We feel like we are getting to know her much better.

They are thinking about what we’ve been thinking about. They add, “Now, she pulls listeners into Girl, Afraid with the single “Avoiding Me.” This upbeat and undeniable anthem highlights her vocal fireworks with a traffic-stopping performance and undeniable hook. “It’s a personal narrative drawn from a few different relationships,” she reveals. “Feeling avoided is definitely something everyone can relate to. It was more of a creative story, and it’s part of the overarching narrative. I’ve felt the emotion in the song and definitely sent a psycho text, but it’s also the most fun track I’ve made,” she smiles.”

See what we mean? We can relate. She could feel the psycho angle coming from us.

In a good way.

She makes it clear that all of us, you included, will know she’s worth it if you just get to know her. Her music of course.

Point taken.

Their transition message is, “In the end, Taylor is writing a different kind of story altogether for popular music and culture. Much like a good book, it’s bound to resonate for a long time to come. “My message is it’s okay if you feel like you’ve changed, if you’re sad, or if you’re upset,” she leaves off. “It’s okay to experience life. It doesn’t mean you’re not going to get back to that good place. You don’t need to have it all together. If you want to sit down and take a break, you have right to do so. I hope my music comforts and empowers you, genuinely.”

We have been comforted and empowered. Goal accomplished.

Taylor is surging in popularity.

Very important. Now take this face value.

Listen to the song Avoiding Me, over and over before you read the following press about her and we are certain you will understand why they are shouting from the rooftops about Taylor and her next big hit titled Jade.

MIAMI, Nov. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Miami-based pop singer-songwriter Taylor Castro releases the timeless "Jade" alongside the music video as the lead single ahead of her forthcoming album Girl, Afraid, out this month. The 22-year-old singer and actor reveals the new harmonica and piano-centered track as the "most personal song I've ever released." Produced by Peter Wallace (Pink, Michael Bolton), "Jade" elegantly tells the story of childhood friendship that fades away.

"After seven years of trying different sounds, I finally feel like I've found mine. It's then only fitting that the story and lyrics behind 'Jade' would be the most personal and genuine I've ever released too. Jade is about adolescent friendship that fades during the transition into adulthood, as people begin to slowly walk towards their side of humanity. It's a reminiscence and reflection on regret. It's the realization that the loss of innocence began, in and of itself, with the epitome of purity. Lastly, it's a call back home, to that suburban cul-de-sac. It's a song that forgives itself, digging up the dusty toy box and making it new again."

Fear is a major theme on the album, and "Jade" begins to paint the picture of how delicate and formative teenage years can be in a young person's life. Castro sings the stinging lyric "Friendships fade around fifteen / like emeralds fade to jaded green / though I had always thought I'd see us cry at each other's weddings." Losing a friend is one of the initial reality checks humans face as they evolve into adulthood, and it's something not fully in our control. As an artist, control of one's talent and career is certainly something to worry about and she embraces her own Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder on title track "Girl, Afraid" to normalize any stigma around what she has suffered with since the age of ten.

Taylor Castro penned the entirety of the upcoming Girl, Afraid and most recently, Castro's single "Girl, Afraid" won the Best Female Vocalist honor at the 2021 Hollywood Music & Media Awards and her single "Abyss" earned her a nomination for Best Pop Vocal.
