December 30, 2021,
Some people are famous for being famous.
That is a good thing right?
We think so. Especially if there is a pay check attached to it.
Given how much money some Influencers make on Instagram, just for being great at building a following, even though they’ve never manufactured a product, seems brilliant.
The team at businessinsider.com educate, “Influencer Alexa Collins — who has over one million followers — charged upwards of $1,000 for a sponsored Story on Instagram when Insider spoke with her last year. Meanwhile, Tyler Chanel, a micro influencer, starts at $100 for an Instagram story and goes up from there.”
Hopefully, way up.
Based upon that, there has been a gorgeous Instagram model who is heavily on our minds and part of the reason is that she looks so great in a swimsuit.
Forgive us for that.
Beyond that, she is famous for achieving incredible feats.
Jessica Gomes is an Australian model who appeared in the Swimsuit Issue of the American publication Sports Illustrated every year from 2008 to 2015.
Did you just read what we said, after we read it? We almost need to read it again.
Seven years running as a swimsuit model in Sports Illustrated is an incredible accomplishment and that will make you famous for being famous.
Especially on Instagram.
As of this writing, Jessica has 248,000 followers on Instagram and here were are in the winter.
Very few swimsuits in sight.
Imagine what kind of following she has in the warm hot summers where swimsuits are the rage.
Ahead of the game and summer, Jessica has signed a deal with Australia’s Bond-Eye.
Here is what they are all about. We sense James Bond, who probably never met a gorgeous swimsuit model that he didn’t like, would be proud of Bond-Eye’s vision.
We sure love it.
At bond-eye.com they smile, “Made to be seen, bond-eye swim is infused with the spirit of summer, salt-mist days + electric nights of its home in Sydney.
Known for bold, ultra flattering silhouettes, each collection hints of nostalgia paired with innovative design principles. Every piece is designed with intention, incorporating modern ethical production practices, from initial designs using our authentic tubular bound crinkle fabric, through to our hand craftsmanship here in Australia.”
Hand made even. Spectacular.
In terms of quality and the environment, they add, “Bond-eye is committed to creating collections in the most purposeful and mindful ways. Our brand, founded in Bondi, encapsulates the freedom and spirit of the ocean and an Australian lifestyle we aim to celebrate and preserve.
80% of our range is shaped from regenerated nylon derived from pre-consumer raw materials that would ordinarily go to waste. This recycled yarn is manufactured exclusively by a premium Italian mill using leading environmental processes which include reduced carbon dioxide emissions, 100% renewable energy and less water consumption.”
Jessica appears to make great decisions in whom she partners with.
The creative minds at marieclaire.com.au report, “Gomes, who has been an icon of Australia's model set for over a decade, has seen to the neon resurgence herself after collaborating with beloved Australian swimwear brand.”
Sounds bright and wonderful.
Sensuous and sunny, Jessica is the right girl for the job. She is incredibly famous, even though she has taken the model road less traveled. With family help.
Jessica’s mother sent her to modeling classes at Linda-Ann Model Academy in the Perth suburb of Midland at the age of 13.
In 2004, she signed with IMG Models after moving to New York City. She has avoided Paris and Milan and done extensive work in most of Asia's major markets, including Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai where she feels mixed heritage models are more successful.
The success has indeed come.
Ms. Gomes has enjoyed much success through South Korean advertising campaigns.
In 2007 she appeared in advertisements for Hyundai Sonata.
The following year, she appeared in an advertisement for LG Cyon Bikini Phone, in which she promoted the split screen cellphone wearing a two-piece bikini, under the tagline "Touch the Wonder." This ad campaign is credited as having pushed Gomes to stardom in South Korea.
Her popularity grew, and by 2013 between her Spokes Person and Korean television show appearances, she had reached celebrity status.
Given her superb talents, more opportunities continue to come her way.
She has appeared in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Glamour, American Glamour and Victoria's Secret catalogue, has modeled for DKNY Jeans, Garnier, Levi's, Motorola, Urban Outfitters and Victoria's Secret, and appeared on the cover of Biba.
She also signed with Estee Lauder as the face of Sean John's Unforgivable fragrance.
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is an American multinational manufacturer and marketer of skincare, makeup, fragrance and hair care products, based in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The company owns a diverse portfolio of brands, distributed internationally through both digital commerce and retail channels.
Based upon that connection, it is no surprise Jessica is having success in the music world as well.
Jessica has a variety of East Coast Hip Hop connections.
In January 2012, our star was revealed as the voice behind saying the name of Rick Ross's label Maybach Music Group at the beginning of certain tracks that the company produces.
She is "name-checked" in the Kanye West GOOD Fridays song "Christian Dior Denim Flow".
Our luminary also participated as a celebrity driver in a promotional celebrity challenge racing event by Mazda associated with the 2013 Australian Grand Prix. In 2015, Gomes starred in Chinese Pop singer Z.Tao’s music video “Crown”.
We know it’s a lot but are you following all of this?
Her Instagram fans sure are.
Jessica was listed at number 34, 8 and 94 in the 2012, 2013 and 2014 AskMen international poll of "world's most desirable women".
She is listed at number 25 in the Maxim's Top 25 Hottest Females of 2012 and number 8 in Maxim Australia's Hot 100 of 2012. In 2013, she was listed at number 6.
Be careful what you ask for.
Due to her tremendous success, Jessica is becoming more famous. For being famous.
The difference between Jessica and the other famous luminaries is that she actually has a powerful resume and continues to impress the world.
We and her followers are glad of that.
