January 6, 2022,
Las Vegas welcomes everyone looking to fulfill their dreams.
Long-term or short.
Everyone needs a home, even if it is temporary.
The great news about attracting new talent, especially with nice luggage, is that they often come with new ideas. Sometimes much better than the old ones.
The former Oakland, Los Angeles and Oakland again, Raiders, packing their bags and traveling to Las Vegas is a great idea.
Unless you live in Oakland.
Hey, as usual, Vegas rolled out the red carpet. For the Raiders to place their bags on.
Hopefully longer than they did in Los Angeles.
And Oakland the second time.
Some say past behavior is often the best predictor of future behavior, therefore, it is possible the Raiders will move again for a better deal lured by another city with a bigger stadium and more expensive carpet.
Having said that, there is one major factor that may influence the mobile swashbucklers to stay for dinner.
Allegiant Stadium.
It is a jewel. Some parts of it has some really nice carpet.
Some in our circle can really appreciate that because they used to attend NFL games, back in the day, at San Francisco’ Kezar Stadium. One friend in particular.
He saw the great Jonny Unitas and Bart Starr sling their magic there. He remembers them walking through the tunnel onto the field, to decimate the then very average San Francisco 49ers.
So, compared to cozy and comfortable Kezar, Allegiant Stadium is like a majestic futuristic space ship.
All we can do is hold our breath and hope that it doesn’t take flight to another city with the Raiders flying first class.
Allegiant Stadium is a domed stadium located in Paradise, Nevada.
It serves as the home stadium for the Las Vegas Raiders and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels college football team.
It is located on about 62 acres of land west of Mandalay Bay at Russell Road and Hacienda Avenue and between Polaris Avenue and Dean Martin Drive, just west of Interstate 15.
Construction of the $1.9 billion stadium began on November 13, 2017, and its certificate of occupancy was issued on July 31, 2020.
The stadium has a roll-in natural Bermuda grass field similar to the one at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
While the Raiders play on the grass field, UNLV prefers to play on an artificial turf surface. The artificial turf is placed directly on the stadium's concrete floor, and the tray holding the grass field is designed so that it can roll in and out without disrupting the turf underneath it.
That truly is a fantastic idea.
Let’s meet the leadership.
At allegiantstadium.com they share, “Located adjacent to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, Allegiant Stadium is a global events destination, highlighted by the arrival of the NFL's iconic Raiders in 2020. Allegiant Stadium is conveniently located for both visitors and locals, fully enclosed and climate-controlled with a capacity of 65,000. The technologically-advanced Stadium is the home of the Las Vegas Raiders NFL team and will host world-class entertainment including concerts and special sporting events such as the Pac-12 Championship Game and Las Vegas Bowl.
The stadium project is expected to generate an economic benefit of $620 million annually while creating 6,000 permanent jobs in Southern Nevada.”
The great ideas keep flowing. Post Covid-19, new jobs are a welcome blessing.
We’ve seen it on television during Raider games and it is a visual masterpiece. If you travel there, would you like to take a tour of the stadium?
Here is what you can expect.
Our hosts continue, “We have been working on a unique way for you to experience Allegiant Stadium. It’s like no other stadium tour in the world!”
Sounds good. We want to hear more.
They continue, “Tours are approximately 75 minutes in length and include over one (1) mile of walking. Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged. No heels or metal bottom shoes.
Tickets are available online approximately five (5) weeks in advance. Capacity is limited. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Those younger than two years of age are free of charge.”
Next is an important point. When associating with friends (especially at a bar) there is often a friendly pat on the back and the jovial expression is bellowed out, “Your money is no good here.”
That means you are being treated, gratis.
At Allegiant Stadium, friend, your money is no good there either. Your credit is though. Hopefully with lots of free space.
They educate, “Allegiant Stadium is a cashless venue. For guests who only bring cash, we have cash-to-card kiosks in the Stadium where guests can exchange cash for a pre-paid card that can be used anywhere major credit cards are accepted.”
We shall remember that.
The global travelers from Trip Advisor have been there and here is what some of their readers think about a tour at Allegiant.
“We have done loads of stadium tours but this is the best. You get to see everything - owner's suite, broadcasting suite, Raiderette dressing room, players' locker room and training area, even the ice baths. Views from the top deck and the ground floor to see turf. Easy parking and entry.”
And another.
“I will say the seats were very comfortable and the view were great. Even though we were in the 300 section I never once watch the jumbo Tron screens I was able to see everything on the field just fine.”
Very insightful.
On October 2, 2021, Female Competition International in partnership with FCI Women’s Wrestling hosted its first event at the majestic San Francisco Airport Hyatt Regency Hotel with an incredible view of the bay.
If you live near or will be visiting Las Vegas and desire to host an event, Allegiant Stadium is a perfect venue.
Their team entices, “Allegiant Stadium is redefining the way you celebrate your special occasion. With options for wedding ceremonies, birthday parties, proposals, and celebration events, the possibilities are limitless. Create an impactful moment in the home of the Las Vegas Raiders!”
We will keep that in mind. As Female Competition International continues to expand, we keep an open mind to all of the possibilities.
We’ve all known family, friends or relatives who have a continual wanderlust.
Apparently some professional football teams do as well.
But when you pack your bags and decide to settle inside of the state of the art Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which offers you an expanding package to satisfy every possible want and need, even for the most ardent carpetbagger, set your luggage down.
It appears you have permanently found a home.
