January 29, 2023,
We don’t see you moving much.
We would like to see you move more.
How is the music at your gym?
Are you happy with it? Does it inspire you to work out more to the beat?
Or is it a loop.
Like in an elevator.
At two gyms we’ve been to, the music was in a loop.
First time we heard it, liked it okay. But after the 50th time?
Some of it is good, some okay and an abundance completely awful. The worst part is that you have to hear it over and over, every time you come inside to workout.
After a while, even the good songs begin to sound stale.
Except Madison McWilliams, Living For The Weekend. Boy could we relate to that. That is a song that we could listen to over and over and get juiced about while we fantasize about the best weekends of our lives.
What puzzles us a little is that when it comes to myriads of gyms, they come across as innovative. New dance routines, individualized classes, top notch Personal Trainers, brand new equipment and high tech machines designed for the future.
And yet, when it comes to music, we get leftovers. By artists you have heard before, some you might not even listen to at home.
Over and over.
Talking about something and doing something about it are two different things.
Let’s go to YouTube for a few examples of the music tracks we would love to hear in the gym. This is a good one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=613eVDWmL6w
Here is another one that we like.

The possibilities for creativity are there and you know what? Every now and then, on a special membership drive day, we would love to watch an Electronic DJ get us pumped up and ready to work out with some pulsating music while they play the role of Maestro.
Wouldn’t that be fun?
Yes, it would. Sure it would. Shake things up.
Save us from the monotony.
There is a group trying to change that.
Check this out.
