Female Grapplers, Win Initial Hand Fighting, Next Up, The Submission

March 23, 2023,

Everything has a beginning.

Not necessarily a good one. But it is a beginning.

A competitive female submission wrestling match has a beginning.

If you want to win, get off to a good start right from the beginning, as it is all about the hand fighting, wrist grabbing and behind the neck pulling, forward and downward.

The hand fighting will require agility.

And manipulation.

We found this quirky but educational video about hand manipulation. Making the best use with one hand and always remember, as long as you can get just one idea that will help in your hand fighting technique, you have won.

Take a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4ew_GPNCpk

We are all about improving the strength aspect to your hand fighting.

At some point you may fight with both of your hands clasped tightly in a finger lock with your opponent. Improved finger and hand strength is vital.

This marries well to hand and eye coordination.

This video is impressive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_xMvuPRJZ8

In the beginning or your initial hand fighting, take it to your opponent by lunging for the headlock.

That is all about the strength of your thighs to match what you’ve learned in hand coordination.

We’ll start with the basics. This video is very helpful in that regard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF0BQS2W80k

Very good.

Everyone has different beginning wrestling techniques. There are often two approaches to this endeavor. Most will focus on building your arms and shoulders. And that is an exceptional way to begin.

Here, we’ve taken you a little off of the beaten wrestling path because, in terms of the initial engagement, we feel these techniques are important as well.

In terms of lunges, time to strengthen those thighs.

For that, we’ll walk over to the bookstore.

Very impressive.

Some reminders.

The initial engagement of your wrestling match is critical. Get off to a good start by using your fingers, hands and eye coordination effectively.

Catch your opponent by surprise by lunging at their chest area, arms and hands extended so that you do not bump heads.

Secure the headlock and take them down. Moist important with the headlock, land on top of their body. This puts them in the position where they need to fight from their back which is greatly to your advantage.

What will help in this surprise attack is having strong lower body muscles to support that lunge.

It is always important to get off to a good start. Every female grappling match has a beginning.

Make your beginning one that gives you a competitive grappling edge.
