August 13, 2023,
In our current fully competitive female submission wrestling competitions, Europe continues to lead the way with new and exciting Fem Competitors who desire to grapple.
In our global electronic travels, we have come across two girls that might interest you.
Their names are Madea and Gudrun.
Time for a meet and great.
At Madea’s profile she shares, “Some guys in my last school used to poke fun of me because I am short. Now that I started with wrestling, I would love to just go back and put ‘em into a crushing headlock, just to show ‘em how this girl means business! I’m a nice person otherwise but challenging myself to come to the mats and deciding to let loose and let some steam out proved to be a great decision for me. I like wrestling!”
Sounds like a great session.
We do suggest to be polite.
Then there is Gudrun.
At her profile she is introduced, “With her thick powerful frame, Gudrun is big on raw power, and shows great talent on the mats, as she takes AJ apart in her premiere mixed bout, while barely breaking a sweat. She even admits to sometimes just toying with her opponent, applying full power only when in trouble or situation requires it. Still, her chokes and scissors can make you start tapping out frantically in seconds.
For a wrestling newcomer, her technical skills are very good. She picks up holds quickly, and maneuvers her opponent into head scissors, guillotines, schoolboy pins, and her favorite move, the cross body pin smother.”
Sounds wonderful.
According to research, this match took place back in 2018.
Time to go ringside.
MADEA VS GUDRUN
The two girls perform the pre-match stare down and then engage in arm wrestling.
Now to the wrestling.
They inch closer together and begin with upper hand fighting. They appear to be fairly even in that regard, still Gudrun gets the best of it and takes Madea down to the mats. Madea scissors Gudrun’s right leg to prevent a full mount. The slightly taller girl maneuvers around Madea, clasping at her wrists to try and find some opening. Madea keeps Gudrun’s right leg locked.
Temporarily, there is a stalemate.
Given that Madea’s scissor has slid down to Gudrun’s ankle, the powerful girl now has plenty of room to operate and goes for a smother. Madea survives that. They struggle some more and now, on the offensive, Gudrun lifts Madea and attempts a headlock, choke. The choke is tightened and Madea taps out.
1-0 for Gudrun (4:10).
As they circle one another, Gudrun lunges and captures another headlock. This time Madea misses the leg lock and Gudrun has full access to a smother. She falls on top of Madea and squeezes. Void of a leg lock and the ability to use all of her power, Gudrun crushes Madea and the young girl taps out.
2-0 for Gudrun (4:45).
Madea is trying her best but it is becoming apparent that Gudrun is much stronger than her. Madea lunges towards Gudrun but the larger girl throws her aside and is immediately on top of her. Literally. She tries for a frontal school girl pin and begins to count Madea out, sitting on top of the smaller girl with her shoulders pressed down. Madea escapes at nine.
Gudrun is persistent.
She manages to flatten Madea out again and slides forward with her knees on Madea’s chest, grasping her right wrist and the pin count begins. Madea struggles in futility and is slowly counted out.
3-0 for Gudrun (6:58).
Gudrun continues to gain confidence.
As they engage, it is all Gudrun as she quickly takes Madea down to the mats. Madea is thinking the right thing by trying to scissor Gudrun’s leg but she keeps securing it at the ankle, rendering the leg lock essentially meaningless. You have to secure it up higher in the thigh area. Since Madea did not, Gudrun is free to move forward and begin to smother her, Full force. Gently grabbing Madea’s head and covering it. Madea tapes out.
4-0 for Gudrun (7:54).
As they engage, Madea has clearly become more tentative. She is hand fighting but more in a defensive vein. Gudrun is clearly the aggressor now and is moving in for the takedown.
She gets it. She also opens up the playbook.
Gudrun makes the decision to sit on Madea’s chest and count her out at ten. With success.
5-0 for Gudrun (9:00).
Time to wrestle.
As they hand fight, it becomes clear it is just a matter of time, usually a short one, when Gudrun is going to gain control. She does again here. Madea is fighting back but once again, Gudrun traps her below. Though compact, Madea is strong and pushes Gudrun off of her.
Time to be aggressive.
Madea is aggressive. To a fault.
She is trying to move forward on Gudrun and becomes trapped in a Triangle Choke or upper body scissor as Gudrun tugs at her left arm, possibly for an arm bar. She pushes the smaller girl backwards and is now back on top of her, slowly securing both wrists, virtually rendering Madea helpless. The promo said that Gudrun was new but she sure doesn’t look like it.
This girl knows her holds. Like a pro.
Gudrun pulls hard on Madea’s arm and the stocky girl submissively taps out. It is Gudrun’s world and Madea just happens to be getting submitted in it.
Gudrun leads 6-0 (10:34).
As they engage again, Madea is very passive, hands about chest high, waiting for Gudrun to take the initiative. Waiting for something bad to happen. If you think that?
Usually it does.
Gudrun pushes forward and leaps at Madea, successfully pushing her backwards again. If it works, why change up? Madea tries to kick out of the hold. Gudrun is now on top of the struggling girl and easily applies a smother. Good night.
7-0 for Gudrun (11:15).
Life is like a box of chocolates. Sometimes when you open it up, you are surprised at what you get.
We are a little surprised here. Didn’t expect it to be this one sided.
As they engage, Gudrun simply pushes Madea over. There is no pretense the initial struggle will be evenly fought. Madea is going down. Once again on top, Gudrun contemplates what to do. She grasps at Madea’s arm and Madea scissors her thigh which slides down to Gudrun’s ankle, making it virtually meaningless. Still, Madea keeps fighting and breaks the hold.
For a second.
Gudrun is quickly back in control by pulling the smaller girl into a form of a Triangle Choke, gives up on that and is back on top of Madea’s shoulders in a potential smother or pin count position. Madea uses both of her arms to try and wall either attempt off.
Gudrun breaks the fence and opens up Madea’s arms, moving them out of the way.
Gudrun can do anything she wants.
We say that because twice she has the ability to submit Madea with a side head scissor but curiously lets it go. Twice. Only to sit on top of her, controlling one arm.
Must be nice.
Interestingly Madea escapes.
Hey, when you are up 7-0, sometimes you might lose a little focus.
They come back to the center on their knees. Madea’s approach is passive. Gudrun’s is patient and confident. Madea lunges at her and Gudrun wins the headlock battle, takes Madea down, applies a headlock smother and it is game over. Madea quickly taps out.
No experimenting this time.
8-0 for Madea (13:55).
They square up.
Madea passively. Who could blame her?
Gudrun fakes the headlock lunge and immediately circles around Madea’s neck for a Guillotine Choke. The larger girl squeezes and Madea immediately taps out.
Gudrun leads 9-0 (14:25).
They struggle. Madea tries to trap Gudrun in a side body scissor but she is doing it from below. Gudrun effectively just leans on top of her as Madea struggles underneath to make some headway with her legs. Gudrun is unconcerned since she is on top and has Madea captured in a headlock. Her right arm is actually trapped within that scissor but it doesn’t matter to Gudrun at all. Even with one arm in play, she leans down hard on that head scissor, full chest strength and Madea quickly taps out.
10-0 for Gudrun (15:32).
The next round Gudrun makes quick work of Madea, taking the smaller girl down with a headlock, most important is her body is on top and Madea instantly taps out.
Mercifully the match is over at an 11-0 white wash for the stronger, taller and more skilled Gudrun.
Madea would later explain that she didn’t know what hit her. She felt like a train ran over her. Gudrun wiped the floor with her.
Well. She is very honest.
Gudrun replied, “She wasn’t bad, I was just better”.
Nothing like a little bit of humility.
The winner added, “It felt good to achieve such a decisive victory”.
Yes, we could see that.
We applaud Madea for hanging in there but she is probably better off, at this stage, wrestling true novices. Gudrun does not appear to be that. Instead?
She is a complete dominator.
