Whatever you do, don’t run out of it. As important, get it right.
On important projects.
In an important relationship, where maybe, you could have done better when it really mattered.
In sporting competitions.
In female wrestling competitions.
Time or timekeeping is one of those things that is easily taken for granted, unless something goes wrong.
Then it is a major big deal.
Virtually every major wrestling organization have Time Keepers and, in some cases, time sponsors.
Time for a definition. What is a Time Keeper?
The team at sportsdefinitions.com educate, “An official who keeps a check on the time during the bout. He announces the time every minute and rings a bell at the end of the bout to signal to the referee that it has finished.”
The subject came up in a round table discussion because at our fully competitive female submission wrestling events, keeping track of time is critical. The time ranges of matches typically range from 10-15 minutes but at the great Femwrestle events, when we did our match reviews, some of the matches lasted 20 minutes.
Trust us. The female wrestlers involved, often exhausted, absolutely wanted the right time to be watched carefully.
We can’t say enough, at our previous San Francisco Grappling Stars events and match reviews, how many matches have come right down to the wire.
The larger the wrestling stage, the larger the stakes thus the Time Keeper becomes critical.
Watch companies and their sponsorships have been vital to the health of many major sports. Femcompetitor Magazine carefully covers the women’s draw at US Open and one of their largest sponsors has been Rolex.
