Newer Female Wrestlers, Make Your Workouts Come Alive With Zumba Dance Energy

July 29, 2024,

Newer female submission wrestlers, heads up.

Or is it, legs up. Okay both.

They have been doing it for some time.

Female wrestlers who dance.

The Funkadactyls were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Trinity Fatu and Ariane Andrew. The women initially worked for WWE as the dancers and valets of Brodus Clay in 2012–2013. They would eventually dance their way onto joining the reality show Total Divas.

The informative team with a beat at dancemagazine.com share, “Naomi,” aka Trinity Fatu, one of the top WWE Divas, used to be a backup dancer for hip hop artists like Flo Rida, and she performed with the Orlando Magic Dance Team. One day, the WWE came to the Orlando Magic’s arena and she saw their show.”

Very impressive.

Nothing like dancing down memory lane.

In our fully competitive female submission wrestling industry, our industry has a dancing star from the past as well. In March of 2014, here is what FCI said about the British super star Sable, “In the women’s submission wrestling world, the more FCI Women’s Wrestling peeks into London, the more impressed with are with the stable of quality female submission wrestlers emerging from the former outpost of the Roman Empire.  Many are sturdy, others exceptional but one that seems to excel above them all is the female wrestler with the “it” factor named Sable.

Sable is not only a sensational wrestler but a well-trained dancer as well. Her balance, grace, agility, flexibility, strong legs and strength of form, has translated well into the female submission wrestling world. As a result she has been dubbed the unofficial champion of LSW.”

That sure makes us want to dance.

Female wrestlers love to dance.

It is so easy to get laser focused when it comes to wrestling workouts.

Due to the extensive upper shoulder, neck and hand fighting, the focus is often on muscle building and rightly so. When the match starts it is important to fight it out up top, jockeying for that all important headlock.

That is great in the early stages of the match but as the competition continues, endurance will increasingly become important.

As Grappling Stars has viewed women’s wrestling videos and performed match reviews, we often find that the grappling matches are 15 minutes long, sometimes longer. Even with the shorter time periods required for women’s freestyle wrestling, the need for endurance, to not tire out near the end of the wrestling encounter, is to build your endurance.

Zumba is an exceptional and fun way to do that.

Zumba has been around for some time and given the myriad of fitness options out there, it may be easy to forget the reasons why Zumba became so popular in the first place.

Zumba is a fitness program that involves cardio and Latin-inspired dance. It was founded by Colombian dancer and choreographer Beto Pérez in 2001.

Newer female wrestlers, Zumba workouts might just perfect for you.
