This is more than just FYI.
Decades ago, at one point in time, the notion of the average woman being a female athlete was way outside the norm.
Now, it is being expected.
The notion that even a female athlete should be a wrestler approximately 15 years ago was rare.
The times have changed and that is a great thing.
With the legal acceptance of NIL, it has become great and expansive.
The NCAA speaks in great detail about the new ruling at ncaa.org when they announced on June 30, 2021, “NCAA college athletes will have the opportunity to benefit from their name, image and likeness beginning Thursday. Governance bodies in all three divisions today adopted a uniform interim policy suspending NCAA name, image and likeness rules for all incoming and current student-athletes in all sports.
"This is an important day for college athletes since they all are now able to take advantage of name, image and likeness opportunities."
One of the keys for female athletes to make the most of these lucrative financial opportunities is to get representation.
