We wish there was an oldies channel that covered fully competitive female submission wrestling. We love so many of the female wrestlers who have long retired.

Their matches were classics.

Since there isn’t a channel that we know of, we have to look in our archives and get excerpts of matches, somewhat like a highlight reel.

Today, the legendary wrestler of choice is England’s Ultra.

Remember her?

She wrestled with Honey at the legendary LWS studio, traveled to the great Femwrestle events in Troisdorf, Germany and competed at TPC wrestling as well.

It is not a classic channel but it may be the next best thing.

SIBERIA VS ULTRA

The two beauties begin by standing and flexing with brilliant smiles. Finally they come to the center and begin on their knees.

The match starts off unconventional in that Ultra accidentally head butts Siberia in the nose. They are good natured about it but that had to hurt.

Siberia smiles and takes a brief break.

They start again with upper torso strikes until Siberia traps Ultra in a floor to upper body scissor. Ultra is trapped but we’ve seen this movie before. To her credit, this most likely will not submit her. She doesn’t give in. Siberia now transfers it into a full on Triangle Choke.

Will this be our first submission?

Not yet.

As we watch more and more of Ultra’s films, our respect for her ability to withstand tough holds for long periods of time without tapping out is amazing. We would not describe it as defensive but more comparable to a test of endurance.

As she is doing here, and yes, she eventually breaks the hold.

Still, Siberia continues to control the action with her strong legs. Ultra is trapped again in a side head scissor and it is the insertion of her left arm inside of those strong thighs that prevents Siberia from completely crunching her. As well as Siberia is doing, there is a problem.

She can’t close the deal.

Someone from the audience encourages her to grab Ultra’s right arm. Very good idea because then she would have a combination hold which is far more effective, especially if an arm bar is applied.

The opportunity passes her by.

Ultra immediately seizes an opportunity to break the hold and leap on top of Siberia. First comes the smother attempt, which Siberia is fighting off, then the grapevine is applied. A brutal combination hold. Siberia groans and taps out. Ultra wasted no time closing the deal, compared to Siberia.

1-0 for Ultra (4:52).

Siberia gathers herself. Time to engage.

The Czech beauty gains the initial advantage and similar to before, uses her strong legs to capture Ultra in a floor to sitting scissor. Ultra, once again, is wise enough to have her arms in between the scissor to prevent a full crunch. Someone in the audience advises Siberia to pull Ultra’s head down. Good idea. Siberia squeezes and gains a submission.

Ultra looks at the audience in the direction of the person who coached Siberia. “Who gave you tips”? She asks with a smile. Whoever it was?

Good tip.

The two girls hydrate and come back to the center.

They begin by hand fighting and Ultra immediately leaps at Siberia’s head and neck area, securing a headlock with her left arm and takes Siberia down. Siberia groans loudly. Ultra tightens the hold. In pain, Siberia taps out.

When a submission is captured that quickly, there is not much an audience member can do to help you.

2-1 for Ultra (8:00).

ARTEMIS VS ULTRA

Speaking of Czech stars, we see Alkaia and Lilith in the audience.

The two gorgeous combatants, Artemis and Ultra, pose and flex.

It is time to get started.

They begin on their knees with upper hand fighting. Ultra gets the best of it and captures Artemis in a headlock and takes her down. The Czech beauty struggles to get away but Ultra is hanging on for dear life. She absolutely should because this is a very unique opportunity. Someone in the audience says something and Ultra laughs.

That was a mistake.

Artemis quickly rolls the British brunette into a side body scissor. Ultra has the headlock, Artemis the scissors. A small war of attrition begins, which Artemis wins.

She breaks the headlock and traps Ultra in a floor to sitting body scissor.

The beautiful British girl struggles.

Ultra’s efforts fights off a combination hold where Artemis was trying to retain the scissor headlock and grasp Ultra’s left arm as well. They are both in the elongated position.

More struggle.

Ultra finally breaks the hold and the two Fem Competitors start again.

They engage from their knees.

The British maiden quickly goes for a Guillotine Choke, but can’t sustain it.

Time for Artemis to go on the offensive.

She traps Ultra in a floor to sitting body scissor and squeezes. Ultra grimaces but she will survive this. Soon Artemis flips her over, elongates the brunette out and tries for a smother pin count.

Ultra kicks out of the hold.

Things are starting to heat up as we watch the audience stare intently.

Artemis is determined to make the floor to sitting scissor work and even pulls down Ultra’s head for good measure. Ultra is just as determined not to be submitted by that typically pedestrian hold and eventually breaks it.

She quickly captures Artemis in a headlock.

Great move.

Ultra applies the pressure and makes Artemis uncomfortable but they are near the edge of the mats and Honey stops the action and asks them to come back to the center.

Artemis gains the first advantage with a form of a Guillotine Choke that morphs into a headlock that is soon lost.

Ultra gains the advantage and tries a headlock of her own and loses it as well.

They engage from the knees.

Push forward, push back.

After struggle, Artemis seizes the opportunity as Ultra gives up her back. Artemis flattens her out on her stomach with an attempt at a chin lock. Ultra struggles and breaks free but Artemis maintains control. The Czech star soon rolls Ultra into a floor to sitting body scissor, pulls the brunette’s head forward and downward and squeezes. Ultra continues to resist but the slender Czech continues to ratchet up the pressure on Ultra’s neck until she taps out. Over eight minutes into the closely contested match, there is finally a submission.

1-0 for Artemis (8:19).

ULTRA VS SPICE

As the legendary Axa Jay introduces the girls, Spice weighs in at 155 pounds and Ultra at 132 lbs.

The two beauties begin on their knees.

They begin very tentatively, slight upper hand fighting until Spice uses her right arm to attempt a headlock on Ultra but it is easily broken. They struggle around some more until Spice uses her superior strength to take Ultra down to the mats. The smaller British girl quickly scissors Spice’s left leg to prevent a full mount.

Spice keep tugging trying to pull her leg away.

She finally does.

Spice now has a full mount on Ultra, as the British star, with the girl next door looks, lies underneath.

What will Spice do with this advantage?

Spice rolls Ultra into a side body scissors.

Ultra groans loudly to escape.

The dark brunette manages to get to her knees, bent over as Spice still keeps a vice like scissor grip. The prey has been captured and this continues for some time.

Ultra finally breaks the hold.

They come to their knees and wrestle for an upper headlock. Ultra wins that contest, tries to take the larger Spice down but can’t. Her headlock is broken.

They begin again and Ultra walks right into a lower Guillotine Choke.

Can Spice do anything with this great position?

She can’t as Ultra breaks that hold but then slides right into a side body scissor.

This is ideal for Spice but she can’t cement that hold either. Ultra struggles for some time. Spice is larger and most likely stronger but she can’t finish. Perhaps a lack of experience.

Ultra breaks the hold.

They begin to wrangle again. Ultra immediately leaps across Spice’s chest with a cross body pin.

Can she hold it for a pin count?

Spice is too strong and pushes her off. Then she goes for Ultra’s wrists to try and gain control. To some degree she does and then mounts the smaller brunette from behind.

Spice loses control.

Now they struggle for control, in a ground level war, grunting and groaning.

Spice pushes Ultra backwards and quickly mounts her. The tendency here is to fall forward and go for a smother. The thought appears to cross Spice’s mind and apparently Ultra’s too, as the British star uses her arms to fence Spice off.

Spice raises up and tries for a school girl pin.

The pin count gets to four and Ultra barely gets her shoulder up.

Spice rolls her into a side body scissor. Though Spice is clearly stronger and controlling the action, the side body scissor did not work before.

It doesn’t again.

Spice goes back to what almost worked and tries the school girl pin again. Ultra is under great duress and has to be tiring a little, but gets her shoulder up. She soon breaks the hold.

The two beauties go back to struggling from the ground floor with Spice being the stronger aggressor. Ultra is holding her at bay, tumbling around, but the smaller princess cannot seem to mount any offense. This is turning into an intense match of struggle and a war of ground level attrition.

Something has to give.

Spice continues to control Ultra’s wrists and now applies a side body scissor, which morphs into a floor to sitting body scissor. At least now, Ultra is on top and she moves forward to try and smother Spice with a pin, hindered by those strong legs around her body. The pin count gets to five.

Spice kicks out of it.

She rolls on top of Ultra, going for a smother of her own.

We’re amazed at how Ultra continues to struggle from the bottom, arms fenced to block Spice from smothering her and have the ability to keep this up. Sitting on top of Ultra and grabbing her wrists as she continues to try and maneuver her around, from the top position of strength. She scissors Ultra and attempts a floor to sitting body scissor.

Finally Ultra is back on top, even if it was not her doing.

She can’t do anything with that position, so back to the bottom she goes.

Ultra does try a floor to sitting body scissor from the mat floor, an onlooker encourages her to squeeze and Spice gives a look like, no problem at all.

How true.

Spice breaks the hold and forces Ultra on to her stomach, flattens her out and then rolls her into an elongated scissor and squeezes. Ultra audibly groans in distress.

Then finally taps out.

In this war of ground level attrition, Ultra is the first to blink.

1-0 for Spice (12:58).
