Newer Female Submission Wrestlers, Add Kick Boxing Fitness To Your Resume

December 29, 2023,

We get a kick out of watching the athletic female submission wrestler Jaki, kick her legs high in warmups.

It is very apparent she is skilled in MMA and it shows. A former Rugby player, Jaki is making a name for herself, wrestling throughout London.

We think of her as bold news of the growth in Female Kick Boxing, as it continues to spread around the globe and like female freestyle wrestling, teenage girls are starting to participate.

On October 20, 2023, the informative team at bernews.com share amazing news, “A female kickboxing bout between two Bermudians takes place next Saturday [October 28] when Rhiannon Morgan faces Enzi Johnston at The Shed in Dockyard.

Teenagers Morgan and Johnston will meet in a three-round K1 rules fight, sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Association [WKA] Bermuda, on the undercard of Fight Night Champion.”

Impressive.

As we move up to the pros, one of the best Female Kick Boxers is Anissa Meksen.

Have you heard of her? Time for a meet and greet.

Anissa is an Algerian-French kickboxer, currently signed with ARES Fighting Championship, while most recently competing for ONE Championship.

She is the reigning ISKA World K1 Bantamweight champion, reigning WAKO World K1 Bantamweight champion, former two-time Glory Super Bantamweight champion, former WPMF World Muay Thai Flyweight champion, and former French, European, and World Savate champion.

In 2014, Ms. Meksen was named MUAYTHAITV's Fighter of the Year, while Awakening Fighters awarded her their Fighter of the Year, Inspirational Fighter of the Year, and KO of the Year (vs. Adi Rotem).

In 2017, she was also Combat Press's Fighter of the Year, and Glory's Newcomer of the Year. Meksen holds notable victories over Cristina Morales, Tiffany van Soest (2X), Sofia Olofsson, Gloria Peritore, Eva Naranjo, and Iman Barlow.

That is saying a lot. Very powerful resume.

What is the ISKA?

The ISKA is one of the major international bodies regulating sport karate and kickboxing matches.

It is based in the United States.

ISKA is a sport karate, all styles kickboxing, mixed martial arts (MMA) sanctioning body in the United States and over 50 countries worldwide.

ISKA's Martial Arts World Championships are held yearly at the US Open of Martial Arts in Disney World, Orlando, Florida.

The US Open ISKA World Martial Arts Championships is held annually every year on the Fourth of July weekend.

More than 8,000 competitors and 12,000 spectators attend the two-day event each year.

Sounds like great competitive fun.

It was established in 1985 as a response to legal and revenue issues that sent the Professional Karate Association (PKA) into decline.

From 1974 until 1985, the PKA had been the most recognized worldwide kickboxing sanctioning group. It was instrumental in establishing public relay of the sport via ESPN, helping to introduce the burgeoning sport to a wider audience.

With ESPN as a partner, burgeoning growth is always possible.

Which brings us to you as a newer female submission wrestler. Can kick boxing help with your wrestling?

Absolutely.

From quickness, agility and strong scissors, learning to kick box can help.

Above, we read about two teenage girls who took it very seriously and competed in real action. For you, so that you are not intimidated, you don’t have to go that far.

There is an easier way to incorporate kick boxing in to your fitness routine and introduce yourself to the sport.

You should read on.

By learning kick boxing and adding it to your resume, your confidence should greatly grow as a budding competitive female submission wrestler.

DALLAS, Dec. 22, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Boutique fitness is a thriving segment of the $87B fitness market, and KickHouse stands out as the premier kickboxing franchise in a competitive space. Born in 2020, resilience is in its DNA–and that competitive spirit has served the brand well from the start.

While innovating ahead of trends, KickHouse's success lies primarily in its ability to deliver to both its members and its franchisees–offering a total body workout in a simple studio setup, meaning more results-focused programming for its members, and a lower-cost business model for its franchisees. Recognizing that first time visitors seek encouragement, support and a clear plan to achieve their personal fitness goals, the brand's unique transformative challenges offer new members a kickstart to their fitness journey in a community-focused environment where they can finally achieve results.

In a strategic move to redefine the fitness landscape, Mayweather Fitness Holdings announced acquisition of KickHouse in Q4 of 2022, taking greater command of the boxing fitness space with two brands delivering results-driven workouts to the front of the pack. KickHouse offers a tried-and-true workout that has kept members at the top of their game, incorporating programming that makes classes challenging but fun for all levels. For franchisees, it presents a low total investment of $242,000 with top studios generating $1M+ in revenue.

While bullish about adding KickHouse to the portfolio, CEO James Williams and his team waited a year to offer new KickHouse franchises for sale, instead working closely with franchisees in the system to understand what drives their success and what additional resources could be added to further propel growth.

"With the Mayweather acquisition, KickHouse is poised to become the top kickboxing franchise in the US, solidifying its position as an attractive investment opportunity, backed by a powerhouse brand synonymous with excellence. Its appeal lies in its accessibility–offering a low barrier to entry for franchisees, coupled with prime available territories and compelling unit-level economics," shares Williams.

The brand's appeal to consumers stems from its high-energy kickboxing workouts and community while delivering remarkable results, while its appeal to franchisees is the untapped potential for growth across the U.S.
